Client-side processing

Calculators on TryCalculatingNow run in your browser. Numbers you type (grades, GPA courses, interest inputs) are not uploaded to our servers for processing, not stored in a database, and not sent to a remote calculation API we operate. Browser extensions and local malware can still see what any webpage can — that is outside our control.

Hosting, share links, and page loads

Loading this site still uses hosting/CDN for HTML, scripts, and images. That is separate from calculator processing: we do not upload your inputs to our servers for processing. Some tools offer optional share links that put numbers in the URL — those values leave your device only if you copy or send the link (and may appear in browser history or referrer logs). Don’t share those links if the numbers are sensitive.

On-device storage

Some calculators may keep small first-party drafts in your browser’s localStorage (for example GPA course rows or currency preference). That data stays in your browser until you clear it — we do not receive those drafts as uploads for processing. See also the Cookie Policy.

Tool ratings

Some calculators show a "Was this helpful?" prompt. Clicking Yes or No sends only that single word — no calculator inputs, no identifying information — to increment an anonymous counter for that tool. We store a running total (for example, "230 yes, 12 no") per tool, not a per-visitor record; there is nothing tying a vote back to you. Your browser remembers locally that you've already voted on a tool so it doesn't ask again, but that's stored on your device, not on our servers. Viewing the page also fetches that tool's current totals so you can see them before voting — a read, not a write, and still not tied to you. Once a tool has enough votes, the same anonymous totals may appear in that page's search-result data and on acsaven.com — the raw numbers, never anything that identifies who voted.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics. The source of this page does not embed an analytics token — Cloudflare injects the beacon at the edge because that setting is enabled for this domain, which is why you will see a request to static.cloudflareinsights.com in your browser's network tab even though nothing in our code asks for it. It is a privacy-oriented measurement beacon: it reports aggregate page views and performance timings, and it does not use cookies to track you between visits or build a profile of you across sites. It never receives your calculator inputs. Optional star ratings, if used, POST only a score to our origin — not your calculator numbers.

Advertising

Advertising is enabled. We use manual AdSense units only (never Auto ads): after you use the tool, between the tool and long guides, optionally mid-article on long pages, at the page foot or blog multiplex, plus at most one sticky surface — a mobile/narrow sticky anchor or a wide-desktop gutter rail in the empty margin beside the content (not both at once; never above the fold or inside the tool). Reserved heights limit layout shift. Ads may use third-party cookies/IDs under the network’s policies; a consent mechanism loads before ad tags in regions that require it. Every page of this site asks Google for non-personalised ads, so no ad you see here is chosen from a profile of your behaviour — see the Children section below for why that is site-wide rather than selective. We do not upload your calculator inputs to our servers for processing, and we do not deliberately send them to ad networks. See Advertising & affiliates, ads.txt, and the Cookie Policy.

Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Search publish pings

IndexNow and similar search pings on publish are deploy-time URL notifications — they are not your calculator inputs.

Children

School students are a real part of who uses this site — GPA, percentage, and attendance calculators are school tools. So we will not hide behind “this site is not for children.” India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023 counts anyone under 18 as a child and, in section 9, places three separate duties on us. Its rules were notified in November 2025 and these duties become enforceable on 13 May 2027. Where we stand on each one today:

• A parent’s verifiable consent, before a child’s personal data is processed. We ask for no such consent because there is nothing to consent to. Every calculation runs inside your own browser; your marks, grades, and salary figures are never sent to us. There are no accounts, no logins, and no profiles.
• No tracking, and no advertising targeted at children. Every page of this site instructs Google to serve non-personalised ads — the whole site, not a list of pages we guessed were used by students. No ad here is selected from a profile of what you have done or read.
• Nothing detrimental to a child’s wellbeing. No accounts, streaks, badges, notifications, autoplay, or endless feeds. The site is built to finish your calculation and let you leave.

We deliberately do not ask your age. Nothing on this site needs it, and demanding a date of birth from every visitor in order to find the children would manufacture exactly the records this design exists to avoid.

If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child’s personal data reached us by some other route — an email, a support message — write to hello@trycalculatingnow.com and we will delete it. You can raise a grievance with us the same way, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if we get it wrong.

Trademarks

TryCalculatingNow (https://trycalculatingnow.com) is an independent free website of browser-based calculators by Samson PG under Acsaven (https://acsaven.com/). The official product name always includes “Try”. Every calculator runs in your browser — we don’t upload your numbers to our servers for processing. Same maker as TryQuickImg, TryDevSnip, and TryTokka. It is not a mobile app store product. It is not CalcNest (calcnest.com), not the CalcNest Play Store app, not CalcNest AI (calcnestai.com), not Calculators Nest (calculatorsnest.com), and not calculatesnow.com. It is not a financial-services or asset-management firm; SIP, EMI, and tax pages are math illustrations, not investment products. trycalculatingnow.com does not redirect to those sites. Searches for TryCalcNest, trycalcnest, or Try Calculating Now are this product — TryCalcNest is the old repo name, not CalcNest. TryTokka (same maker) is an AI spend dashboard, not Tokka Labs. Acsaven is a software studio — write Acsaven, not ACSaven; it is not ACS Asset Management. These Try family brands (TryCalculatingNow, TryQuickImg, TryDevSnip, TryTokka) are brands of Samson PG. The wordmark may style the accent after “Try” for design only — the product must always be referred to with the “Try” prefix. Other product or company names mentioned on this site may be trademarks of their respective owners.

Who controls this data, and your rights

The controller for personal data processed through this site is Samson PG, operating the TryCalculatingNow product under the Acsaven brand family. Contact: hello@trycalculatingnow.com.

What we rely on to process it. Page delivery and security logging rest on our legitimate interest in serving and protecting the site. Privacy-oriented, cookieless traffic measurement rests on the same basis. Advertising cookies and identifiers, where ads are enabled, rest on your consent, collected by the consent tool that loads before any ad tag in regions that require it — you can change or withdraw that choice at any time from the same tool.

How long. Because tool processing happens in your browser, we hold no copy of your files, inputs or results — there is nothing for us to retain or delete. Aggregate traffic measurement is retained by Cloudflare under their terms and is not linked to you. Tool preferences and any rating you leave are stored on your own device and are cleared when you clear site data. The rating totals we keep are two running numbers per tool with no per-visitor record. Stopping one person voting repeatedly does need something per-visitor, so when you submit a rating we store a SHA-256 hash of your IP address — never the address itself — as a cache entry that expires after 24 hours. The hash is taken under a secret key we rotate every day, so it cannot be worked backwards to your address, and yesterday’s entries cannot be matched against today’s — by us or by anyone else. It is not linked to the rating you gave, and nothing else on the site reads it.

Your rights. Where the GDPR applies you may request access to, correction of, or erasure of your personal data; ask us to restrict or stop processing it; object to processing carried out on legitimate interests; ask for a portable copy; and withdraw consent where processing relies on it. Where India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act applies you may request access and correction, ask for erasure, nominate another person to exercise your rights, and raise a grievance with us. Email the address above and we will respond within one month.

If we get it wrong. You can complain to your local data protection supervisory authority — in the EU or UK, the regulator for your country of residence, and in India the Data Protection Board. We would rather you told us first so we can fix it.

Note that advertising, when enabled, involves third parties who act as controllers of the data they collect through their own tags. Their handling is governed by their own policies, linked from the Advertising section above and from our Cookie Policy.
