Advertising & affiliates

Current status

Advertising is currently enabled. Affiliate boxes are currently disabled. When live ads are off, reserved placement shells may still show where units will appear; affiliate boxes stay hidden until enabled.

What does not change

Tools still run in your browser. We do not upload your inputs to our servers for processing, and we do not deliberately send tool contents to ad networks. Loading the page still uses hosting/CDN. See the Privacy Policy.

UX contract (when ads are on)

• Tool UI stays first — in-content ads render below the tool, never above the primary controls or inside the workspace.
• Manual AdSense units only — never AdSense Auto ads, vignettes, or left+right sticky pairs.
• Typical placements: after you use the tool, between tool and long guides, optional mid-article, page foot / blog multiplex, plus one sticky surface — a bottom anchor on mobile/narrow screens or a wide-desktop gutter rail in the empty margin beside the content column.
• Reserved heights and fixed sizes to limit layout shift (CLS).
• Each unit is labeled “Advertisement” with a link back to this page.
• Consent (Funding Choices or our cookie banner) before ad tags in regions that require it.
• Declined consent or blocked ads keep reserved space and may show a quiet first-party fallback tip instead of a blank collapse.

Advertising

When ads are on, we may show Google AdSense (or similar) via those manual units. Third-party ad scripts share the page context like any other script. Ad networks use their own cookies and policies. See also ads.txt and the Cookie Policy.

Affiliates

When affiliate features are on, some recommendations may include tracking links. We only recommend products we believe are relevant; commissions do not change tool math or file processing. Disclosed affiliate boxes stay clearly labeled.
